SwitchMed is improving access to finance for Green Entrepreneurs and the Switchers. In Egypt, 13 Green Start-ups from different sectors will finally participate at the SwitchMed’s Green Startups Meet Investors Coaching and Pitching sessions.
Starting from July 2017, the SwitchMed Programme is piloting 8 local activities called “Green Start-ups Meet Investors” to improving the access to finance for the Green Entrepreneurs and The Switchers.They will take place in Morocco – Algeria – Tunisia – Egypt – Israel – Lebanon – Palestine and Jordan.
In Egypt, 13 Green Start-ups will finally participate at the SwitchMed’s Green Startups Meet Investors Coaching and Pitching sessions, managed by Egypreneur as SwitchMed’s local partner.
Selected start-ups’ sectors ranged from energy efficiency, waste segregation and recycling, mobile solar solutions, distribution and production of dried fruit peel, sustainable clothing production, aquaponics clean farming, sustainability training and education and producing fertilizers from kitchen waste.
Founders of selected start-ups will be attending 2 coaching sessions during July at the Egypreneur offices; the first session will be held in July 5th and will help them optimize their business model, company profile and pitch deck. The second session will be held in July 12th and will focus on practicing and perfecting the delivery of their elevator pitch.
Based on the performance of the founders during the coaching period, 8 start-ups will be shortlisted to deliver a 5 minutes pitch to a panel of investors during “Green Start-ups Meet Investors” final event during the 3rd of August.
