Description | Reef Finance Company (Reef) is a rural financial institution, established in June 2007 as a private not-for-profit company and started its lending operations in January 2008. Reef Finance provides financial services to Palestinian people; individuals or groups, with limited income, who engage in different economic sectors and to focus largely on the agricultural sector. To this end, Reef Finance targets the following categories: • Farmers; the individuals who take from agriculture a profession and/ or cooperative agricultural societies and/ or associations and/ or agricultural unions. • Cooperatives and working in the rural Palestinian areas • Members of cooperatives and associations. • Entrepreneurs. • Women • The productive enterprises and economic activities of various economic sectors specifically agricultural businesses. • Collectively owned business projects. • Graduates from universities and institutes from different disciplines specifically graduates of college of agriculture. • Students of universities and colleges to pay tuitions.Reef provides its financial services using both cash and in kind (Islamic financing tools such as Murabah … etc.) lending methodologies to cooperatives, solidarity groups and individuals. |
